Grade seven at DMS is giving back in every sense of the word. Several of my students have been inspired to make a difference. They’ve planned a clothing drive that will take place Dec. 10-22. I am so proud of their generosity and kind spirits.

Thanks for all of the support Mrs. Van Etten! we would not be able to run this program without your assistance, and without the assistance of our peers. Dominique, Kayla, Angela and I are really happy that you’re working with us! we can’t wait for the drive to start so that we can see how many people are going to help out our charity. it makes me feel especially good because the people at the charity we are doing it for are our age…

I have clothes but they might be a bit big, is XL too big? And is some shoes that are size 14 in mens. And is 38×34 or 34×38 (I don’t know which it is) too big. I hope not because that would be bad. Mabye they can wear it as a dress.

i think that the clothing drive is a very good idea! i always donate old clothes, and i think i will donate some too ! the best part about the drive is that it starts on my birthday, so i dont always have to RECEIVE gifts
! my idea was that i put a video on youtube, and make a quilt. and then for every comment made on the video, i add 1 square on the quilt! its doing really good! i thin we’re all doing something good

Casey, I am so proud of you for putting the needs of the less fortunate ahead of your own. I know how much you look forward to your birthday. Your quilt idea is absolutely amazing. I am thrilled that you have been inspired to use technology to help improve the lives of others. You are a good digital citizen in every sense of the word.
