I am amazed at the generosity and commitment my students have displayed toward making a difference in the lives of others who aren’t as lucky as they are. Flyers promoting our clothing drive are going now, while I’m writing this post. In addition to the clothing drive, my students are doing a research-based service project where they can make even more of a difference in the lives of the less fortunate. This is truly a wonderful time to be working with young people, when they are learning and living the true meaning of Christmas.

I made a poster for the clothing drive and I was wondering where I should drop it off. Or if I should just hang it on the wall somewhere. I don’t know.

I too am impressed. You and the students in your classes are a great source of pride and show that DMS is a great place to teach and learn.
I would like to offer my assistance in this project, and would even offer a bus to take kids and the clothes to their destination.

it makes me happy that teens who don’t usually get a lot on christmas can benefit from this drive. it feels really great to be giving back to my community. we are all hoping that the drive will go very successfully, and i want to continue to do service work after the drive is over……..the drive is discussed a lot during our seventh period class. it’s very highly anticipated……..the kids in our class are eager to contribute!
